Latest Policy on Traveling to China from Thailand

Dear passengers,

On November 13, 2022, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand issued the Notice on the Latest Requirements of the Health Code Application for China-Bound Passengers Departing from Thailand (http://th.china-embassy.gov.cn/ggl/202211/t20221114_10974077.html):

In accordance with the latest COVID-19 prevention and control requirements of the Chinese government, starting from November 13, 2022, the requirements for the health code application of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Thailand for China-bound passengers departing from Thailand are as follows:

  1. All passengers are required to take one nucleic acid rt-PCR test within 48 hours before boarding and apply for a health code with a negative report.
  2. Transit passengers from a third country shall take one nucleic acid rt-PCR test within 48 hours before boarding either at the country of origin or transit. Airlines allow passengers to board with a valid health code and no longer check the issuing place of the code.
  3. There are no extra requirements for passengers with a history of COVID-19 infection, suspected symptoms, close contact, and PCR test results showing “uncertain” or in “Gray zone”. All passengers can apply for a health code with one negative rt-PCR report within 48 hours before departure.

The Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Thailand remind all China-bound passengers that the pandemic situation in Thailand still prevails, and the number of foreign passenger-related cases has risen recently in Thailand. We strongly suggest that all China-bound passengers pay attention to self-protection to avoid infection.
