Shenzhen Transit Process

Definition of TCl:

Passengers holding tickets with two or more flights specified or tickets with two or more consecutive ticket numbers,where the originating station checks the baggage through to the final destination and completes the check-in procedures for each transit station.(Transit flights within 24 hours).

*Notice: Passengers arriving at airport should follow the transit signs in the airport for connecting fights.

If the scheduled departure time of your second connecting flight is after 2:00AM on the day following the scheduled departure time of your first segment,please make sure to retrieve your checked luggage upon arrival at Shenzhen Airport.

240-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy

Citizens of 54 countries eligible for the visa-free transit policy, holding a valid international travel document, a confirmed onward ticket with a date and seat for a third country (or region) within 240 hours, and a completed Temporary Entry and Exit Card for Foreigners, can apply to the border inspection authorities at any of the 60 designated open ports. The border inspection authorities will handle the temporary entry procedures, and the visa-free stay duration starts from 00:00, the day following the entry date.

24-Hour Transit Visa-Free Policy

Foreign passengers taking international or regional flights and holding international connecting tickets within 24 hours, transiting through nine international airports including Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Pudong, Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Xiamen Gaoqi, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Bao'an, Chengdu Tianfu, and Xi'an Xianyang, proceeding to a third country or region, are eligible to transit visa-free without immigration inspection procedures.

Prohibited and Declarable Items by Chinese Customs

1.Prohibited items

1.1 Various weapons, imitation weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

1.2 Counterfeit currency and forged securities.

1.3 Printed materials, films, photographs, records, tapes, discs, computer storage media, and other items that are harmful to Chinese politics, economy, culture, and morality.

1.4 Various highly toxic substances.

1.5 Opium, morphine, heroin, marjuana, and other addictive narcotics and psychotropic drugs.

1.6 Animals, plants, and their products carrying dangerous pathogens, harmful insects, and other harmful organisms.

1.7 Food, medicine, or other items that are harmful to human and animal health, originate from epidemic areas, or can spread diseases.

2. Declarable items

2.1 Animals, plants, and their products, microorganisms, biological products, human tissues, and blood products.

2.2 Personal items for travel, such as cameras, camcorders, and laptops, with a unit price exceeding CNY 5000, which need to be brought back to the country by residents.

2.3 Cash exceeding CNY20,000 or its equivalent of USD 5000 in foreign currency.

2.4 Goods, samples, and promotional items.

2.5 Other declarable items.

*Your checked luggage will be directly delivered to the destination. If you carry items that need to decleared to customs, please truthfully fill in the corresponding colums of the “Declaration Form” at the customs and have the items inspected and go through the necessary procedures.

2. To save time at immigration, please carry luxury and valuable items with you.
