Shenzhen Airlines Hailed as Demonstration Company in Promoting Paperless Travel by CAAC

Shenzhen Airlines has recently been announced as a demonstration company in promoting “paperless” travel by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. In collaboration with China TravelSky Holding and airport ground service and security check departments, Shenzhen Airlines began offering electronic QR code boarding passes in 2016. The company subsequently unveiled e-invoices for itineraries, which passengers can download via the Shenzhen Airlines app, and released the Shenzhen Airlines Mashangfei (深航码上飞) WeChat mini-program in 2018, enabling passengers to experience paperless air travel. It will continue to improve the travel process and leverage new technologies to help make travel easier and more convenient for passengers.

Paperless boarding has helped substantially optimize travel experience. Passengers can check in for their flights, select seats and get e-boarding passes via their mobile phones, and scan e-boarding passes at security, airport gates and cabin doors to complete verification.
